Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund – Go Blue Day

It was agreed that Grace and Jo would liaise with other departments in Daventry to come up with some ideas for fundraising. We worked with the Client and also the parts department, especially Sylvia Docherty. We decided that we would have a donation raffle so encouraged people to donate unwanted Christmas presents and gifts that we were able to raffle off. We made up a jar of sweets so that people could guess the amount, we had a ” name the bear”, we had a coffee morning, a bake sale and we also encouraged people to make cakes, savories’ and sweets so that we could sell them. There was a beauty treatment also donated.

Kerryann Pickering who is one of our agents made several batches of homemade fudge that was sold around the offices as well as at the coffee morning. In total we helped raise £424 for the charity. But more than that we helped raise awareness and also a great interdepartmental camaraderie.

The actual fundraising was cross site with different events happening at Warley and Dunton also participating.
