Facebook Updates Its Comments Plugin
The latest update to the comments plugin takes the Facebook experience to a new level on external websites. Newest features are threaded comments, moderation controls and, the most exciting, the ability to sync Facebook pages and Websites together where comments are transferred automatically to the other.
Don’t want to read a load of comments from people you’ve never met? No problem. The update allows you to view the comment feed by your network – friends/friends of friends etc. You can see the new update working over at the Facebook blog.
Gfail
Around 150,000 Gmail account holders were greeted with an empty inbox, lost chat logs and attachments erased when they logged into their accounts on Monday morning. Some users of Gmail, myself included, treat the email service as an online hard drive. With ever expanding memory – it’s the perfect solution to store all documents, music, videos etc. Gmail has been working hard to restore all accounts, but hopefully some good can come from this as every Gmail user is being encouraged to backup their Gmail account.
Were you one of the accounts that were affected? Drop us a comment below and let us know if you’ve been fully restored.
