How can businesses benefit from the new Facebook Page rollout?

The new design of Facebook Pages is rolling out over the next week to all pages currently existing on Facebook to fit in with the new design of Facebook profiles. But what does this mean and how will it affect current businesses on Facebook?

Well, first of all, the biggest, and most exciting, feature of the new Facebook pages is the ability to ‘browse’ Facebook as your page. Currently Page administrators have been forced to use their own identity on other pages – now administrators have the ability to post on other pages as their company, expanding the opportunity to interact with clients, similar businesses and cater Facebook even more to being used for recruitment.

The above change includes a dedicated News Feed of pages that your page has liked, and also displays any notifications or activity for you to act upon. With this comes the chance to implement customer service far more easily than what it has been previously. Granting administration to more than one user will allow Facebook to be used as a OCRC – an online customer relationship centre.

The top of the Facebook Profile Wall now heavily features photos – an opportunity to create a promotional banner for your business, or the chance to give customers more of an insight into your company and humanising your brand.

Everyone has been waiting patiently for Facebook to become an easier platform to implement a full customer service strategy…and within two weeks companies worldwide will be taking the opportunity to use the new feature.
