Percepta Donates Chairs To Non-profit Orgs

Hallway With People and Chairs

Percepta LLC, in Melbourne Florida, recently renovated their facility with new paint, carpet and chairs.  In doing so, we had many chairs that were still in great shape that could be used in our community by organizations that help those in need.  We were pleased to have over 30 non-profit organizations come and receive chairs.  Organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Untied Way, Brevard County Schools, and many others were able to come and receive chairs free of charge.

Percepta LLC’s Melbourne location is very involved in their community. The site currently has another community event going on to feed the hungry in Brevard County.

Percepta Passion: Percepta Gives Cancer A Punch

This year the Melbourne site took charge and showed Cancer who is boss.  We had several fundraiser events such as our “Eat to Defeat Cancer” event at a local restaurant, our “Get Fired Up for a Cure” event and our “Create for a Cure” event at two local pottery shops, our raffle basket event with “Razzle Dazzle”, our baskets that our different departments donated to raise money and let’s not forget the “Pie in your Face” event where our Managers, Team Leads and even our Clients joined in to raise money.  One of our Clients, Phil Perry, brought in the most money.  The very first pie to be thrown at him went for $115.  We had an awesome time and I am so proud of our location for all the time and money they all donated.  We even had about 30 employees and their friends and family join us on Saturday, October 20 for the “Strides for Life” walk in which our team name was “Treasure Your Chest”.  What a way for Percepta to get out there and show our community that WE CARE!!!!!

Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund – Go Blue Day

It was agreed that Grace and Jo would liaise with other departments in Daventry to come up with some ideas for fundraising. We worked with the Client and also the parts department, especially Sylvia Docherty. We decided that we would have a donation raffle so encouraged people to donate unwanted Christmas presents and gifts that we were able to raffle off. We made up a jar of sweets so that people could guess the amount, we had a ” name the bear”, we had a coffee morning, a bake sale and we also encouraged people to make cakes, savories’ and sweets so that we could sell them. There was a beauty treatment also donated.

Kerryann Pickering who is one of our agents made several batches of homemade fudge that was sold around the offices as well as at the coffee morning. In total we helped raise £424 for the charity. But more than that we helped raise awareness and also a great interdepartmental camaraderie.

The actual fundraising was cross site with different events happening at Warley and Dunton also participating.

Percepta Passion: Volunteer Stories – Shavathon 2012

Percepta-Africa2012 saw the third year in a row that the South African office organised the Shavathon on site.

The Cancer Association of South Africa [CANSA] is the organiser of the event. The CANSA Shavathon is one of South Africa’s best-loved annual events in support of a worthy cause. People shave or spray their hair to show solidarity with cancer survivors or to remember loved ones lost to the disease. It also raises awareness and funds for the fight against cancer. As the shaving of heads can become a logistical nightmare [especially when it is not done indoors], the team opted for the spray-painting of hair or Spray-a-thon at a minimum donation of R20 per head.

The ‘old’ site, at the Customer Service Operations Canteen was manned by Percepta’s own Customer Relationship Centre staff with the assistance of Johnson, a Ford employee. Johnson remarked the following: I really enjoyed working here today. Percepta is like a family. The people come out to work and they joke with one another and one can feel the good vibe.2012 saw a first collaboration effort as the Ford Motor Company’s Wellness Coordinator offered to assist and organised an additional two sites where people could participate. One catered specifically for the parts warehouse staff. The second new site was situated next to the main canteen, an area with a lot of feet walking past. The high number of feet was evident in the R1 610 that was taken in that area.

Getting Painted

Similar to 2011, most Percepta employees donated money to buy the paint needed for the day. As is the case with all volunteering efforts from small teams, every body contributed to the success of the day. The guys, who did not assist with the spraying, had to deal with all the incoming calls for the day.

2012 saw the team reach the target of hosting a bigger event. A whopping R2 750 was raised, far exceeding the R1 356.50 that was raised in 2011.

A big highlight of the day was the launch of the new branding with a banner masterminded by Christel Snyman, the Operations Manager.

For more info about the Shavathon, see the CANSA website at www.cansa.org.za or www.shavathon.org.za.

Wanted: Skilled Soft-Sellers dedicated to Customer Service

At Percepta, in the Customer relationship centres, our focus has been traditionally responsive. In our area of business we usually wait for the customer to call us and then we take action from there. We help them to the best of our ability and then, hopefully, they go away happy and satisfied. However we are trialling a scheme where we follow up with something extra, a special addition to the services we offer and it’s something everyone wants.

A bargain!

We are looking for two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to make outbound sales calls while maintaining an excellent standard of customer service. The role will involve calling existing customers and offering them products that would interest them as a special customer rate.

We’re not looking for fast talking pushy salespeople; we want people whose first focus is customer service but who can also identify buying signals and close the deal. We’re looking for friendly outgoing people who are self motivated and driven to achieve targets.

These are part time roles for 20 hours per week (4 hours per day between 3pm and 8pm Monday to Friday). It is initially a 3 month fixed term contract or secondment with the opportunity to become permanent. If you have experience in a soft selling environment, excellent communication skills and like to push yourself to achieve your goals, then click the link here to apply.

Wanted: An Automotive Sales Manager Who Focuses on Quality, Not Quick Talking

We all know the stereotypes around salespeople, such as being silver tongued, having the gift of the gab and being able to talk the hind legs off a horse. While eloquence is never a bad thing, it’s not the only thing and we’re looking for in an Automotive Sales Manager who wants to build a lasting relationship rather than make a quick buck.

We’re looking for someone with experience and enthusiasm to be a key member of our sales team, proactively working to achieve specific revenue, profit and customer satisfaction targets. Our ideal candidate will have an automotive technical background or qualification, as a key part of the role will be the consulting service provided to UK dealers.

The successful candidate will be essential in providing comprehensive sales and support services to key account holders, whist also identifying opportunities to develop sales and exploit potential areas of growth.

If you feel you are the person we are looking for, convince us by clicking the link here to apply online.
